Some of your duties and responsibilities would be:

  • Assisting the Controller in overseeing all financial activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Accounts Receivables – Including but not limited to: Follow up of job status, financing, status, collections, and weekly reporting.
  • Review of Accounts Payables – Review accounts payables for coding and inputting data. Complete any related journal entries.
  • End of Month Sales – Verify installed volume and verify all customer jobs have been closed.
  • End of Month – Perform end of month reconciliations for prepays, under deposited funds, door inventory, etc.
  • Complete any necessary month end journal entries.
  • Research and analysis of accounting activities.
  • Document filing, retention and maintenance.
  • Produces and works with others on the team in preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts and budgets.
  • Assist with the creation of full policy and procedures Manual for the Accounting Department.
  • Assists Accounting Specialists with any overflow work and services as back up.
  • Perform other tasks and reports as assigned by the Controller and President.

 

The position qualifications are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration. 
  • 4+ years full charge accounting experience.
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulation, month end, as well as payroll.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in QB accounting software and tools.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
